I can’t remember a time in my life where I have been as busy as I am right now. I have so much gratitude for how things have unfolded, but while life continues to move at this speed, I'm realizing it's so important to incorporate any and all the things that simplify and save time and headaches overall. It's Time to Write Your Own Permission Slip
The start of this year was quite a journey for me, but I realized other people were going through it too, and most of it came down to giving ourselves permission. As I did some work and reflection on my experiences, I also noticed a pattern among what many of my clients were going through. In at least three different coaching conversations I found myself asking questions like “Are you allowed to work and have it be easy?” and “Are you allowed to rest even if you don’t get everything done on your list? Are you still worthy?” Each time, it would be the question that would stop them in their tracks and the heavy layer of resistance would finally be broken through. In 2017 I Had No Plan
During the last week of 2016, I found out I was pregnant. And while I showed up in my business every day, facilitated my clients’ strategic planning processes, and even hired a business coach to help me tackle some of my big goals for 2017, I never ended up with a plan for the year.
For the first time in my business I didn’t have a clue of what I was going to be focusing on three or six months out from any moment in time.
Make 2018 Your Year
If you’re like most people who create goals, plans, or resolutions that end up not going very far during the course of a year (only 8% of New Year’s resolutions are actually achieved), you’ve probably experienced feeling like a hamster on a wheel as you’ve tried to manage your life and business. In the Soulful Strategic Planning workshop series, I turn everything you've been told about goal setting on it's head.
